All late entries for the West Suffolk Young Musician competition 2011 have now been received and processed. There will be no further entries for the 2011 competition.

WSYM competition results 2010

The West Suffolk Young Musician 2010 is the singer William Hann. William was also the winner at level 3.

Katy Rochford was the winner at Level 2 playing the alto saxophone.

The adjudicators said that the standard was high and the result was close-run. Congratulations to the winners and all the competitors.

2009 Finalists’ Showcase Recital, March 2010

For the first time, some of our finalists from last year’s competition will be performing in a Finalists’ Showcase Recital at 1.10pm in the Theatre Royal on Thursday 4th March. This is a Theatre Royal promotion in their Lunchtime Concert series which we hope may become an annual event if successful. It will be a varied concert given by Neema Binu (piano), Tom Ping (violin), Emma Cowper (oboe) and Catherine Harrison (soprano). James Thomas will be the accompanist.
