David Lale
David Lale won the West Suffolk Young Musician competition in 1999 playing the cello.

He attended the University of Leeds (2000-2003) where he gained a 2.1 BA (Joint Hons) in Music and Philosophy. David's graduate studies took place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2003-2005) where he gained a post graduate Diploma in Orchestral training and Master of Music.
David enjoys a busy chamber music and freelance orchestral career. He is a founder member of The Lale String Quartet, which has a vibrant and varied concert schedule - contemporary music being a particular inspiration. Since leaving the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2005, where he studied with Louise Hopkins, David has worked regularly with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Irish Chamber Orchestra, amongst others.
